https: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ur9EL1GFxU – ‘The Hanging Tree’ by the 44′

The 44’s are a Los Angeles-based band who play blues-roots-rock music and one of the top Blues bands on the American roots scene. They play vintage instruments channeling blues from the past and present with a distinct rawness. Their rough and tough sound is loved by Blues music fans across the planet due to constant touring of Europe and America. Their music reflects the L.A. Blues and R&B scene they grew up on, performed  by acts like the James Harman Band and the Red Devils, and traditional Blues created by legends Howlin’ Wolf, Albert Collins, and Muddy Waters.

Their first Release, ‘Boogie Disease’ was produced by guitar great Kid Ramos (The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Mannish Boys), and was issued on Rip Cat Records. That CD climbed to #12 on the national Living Blues radio charts and #2 on BB King Bluesville Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. Critical praise and industry recognition followed their second Rip Cat release ‘Americana’ with American Blues News hailing the 44’s as ‘Best Blues Band of 2011’ while the Blues Underground Network awarded The 44’s their ‘Best Debut Album’ prize.

Guitarist  Johnny Main grounds his outstanding singing and guitar playing in real experience – his talent is as honest as the day is long.
Tex Nakamura has forged his own stirring voice from studying Little Walter and other legendary harmonica mentors. The rhythm section features drummer J. R. Lozano on his vintage Ludwig drum kit and bassist Blake Watson.

Touring Non-stop since 2010, the 44’s have have earned a loyal following that includes young blues-roots fans, as well as older more seasoned blues lovers. They continue to tour nonstop, nationally and internationally and are in the process of recording their next album.
